We are Shaga Greens – Sowing Impact, Cultivating Partnerships
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Kampala, Uganda, Shaga Greens is a leading farming, exporting, and distribution company. We specialize in premium fresh exotic and tropical fruits and vegetables, with most available year-round to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Backed by a commitment to quality, competitive pricing, and sustainability, we proudly connect the richness of Uganda’s agricultural heritage to international and local markets, ensuring the best of Ugandan agriculture is available to consumers near and far.
We ensure consistent supply by professionally managing our farms and partnering with over 500 smallholder farmers and outgrowers across Uganda. Our model farms serve as production hubs and training centers, equipping farmers with good agricultural practices under expert agronomist guidance. From seed to harvest, our supply chain prioritizes quality and reliability while supporting long-term sustainability through fair pricing.
With over 70% of our workforce comprising women, Shaga Greens is deeply committed to inclusivity and advancing gender equity in agriculture, while also empowering local communities in our production areas. Furthermore, we have developed strong partnerships with all airlines operating in and out of Uganda, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery of Uganda’s finest fruits and vegetables to international markets. Additionally, we leverage sea shipping through the ports of Mombasa and Dar es Salaam, ensuring timely sea freight deliveries to Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
